Lacrosse Scotland - Education and Training Director

Lacrosse Scotland is looking to appoint an Education and Training Director.

The role of the Education and Training Director is to provide opportunities for the community to receive
education and training in Coaching and Officiating Lacrosse (Men’s and Women’s). The role will also be
responsible for overseeing the development of a workforce of tutors who will support the director in the
delivery of Lacrosse Scotland’s Strategic Plan 2016-2020. The Education and Training Director will be required
to work closely with the Development Director as well as the Men’s and Women’s Performance Directors to
ensure that the needs of the community are being met.

Among the key responsibilites of this role, the Education and Training Director will:

- Support the delivery of Lacrosse Scotland’s 4-year strategic plan for 2016-2020
- Provide opportunities for the community to receive training and gain recognised qualifications in coaching
and officiating
- Work with the Lacrosse Scotland Office to maintain a record of all tutors, coaches, and officials, ensuring
that the demands of the community are being met.
- Work with the Participation Officer to increase the number of clubs playing men’s, women’s, and/or mixed
lacrosse in Scotland

Lacrosse Scotland is looking for an individual who has experience of governance at either Board or executive level, ideally working with companies in the Voluntary Sector, with the ability to provide direction, leadership, and a strategic vision allied with the ability to negotiate, influence and convince.
