Scottish Wrestling - Finance Director

The Scottish Wrestling (SW) is the National Governing Body for Olympic styles of wrestling in Scotland. We are looking to ensure wrestling’s sustainable development and growth in Scotland through expansion of our Board.

Role

Working alongside SW Directors, the Finance Director will have overall control and responsibility for all financial aspects of SW strategy and is expected to analyse figures and implement recommendations based on these findings, with the most profitable outcomes.

 Responsibilities

  • Form strong and credible working relationships with board members and stakeholders.
  • Oversee and optimise financial policies, procedures and systems.
  • Manage all bank related queries.
  • Handle payments according to the financial policy.
  • Prepare long and short-term budgets with responsible Directors.
  • Attend board meetings, AGMs and EGMs.
  • Manage all required Companies House submissions.
  • Support values and objectives of the organisation. 
  • Maintain financial records in accordance with policies.
  • Prepare quarterly financial reports and annual accounts.

 Requirements

  • Have a professional qualification in Accounting, Business Management or equivalent.
  • Be experienced in Financial Accounting reporting and statutory requirements.
  • Have high integrity and openness combined with a commitment to good governance.
  • Experienced in Risk Management and Governance would be desirable.

 Time Commitment

4-8 hours per month. Board meetings are held tri-monthly
