Online Learning

Our members tell us that among the significant challenges presented by enforced changes to current working practices is keeping all staff and volunteers, especially staff who have been furloughed or are working reduced hours, engaged and providing them with support to assist with wellbeing. However, additional downtime can be utilised in positive ways and offers the chance to learn new skills and continue professional development (CPD).

One way to boost engagement and morale levels is to offer opportunities that can be undertaken remotely, remembering that even furloughed staff are able to undertake training and CPD opportunities. The Scottish Sports Association has compiled links to some of the organisations that provide predominantly free e-learning, from general skills that are applicable across a variety of disciplines to sport-specific training.

While the SSA is signposting to opportunities, we do not endorse or recommend any specific providers or programmes.

We will continue to update these opportunities in the future. If there are additional organisations which you have used and wish to highlight to other Scottish sporting bodies, please let us know by getting in touch at admin@thessa.org.uk.
